For the use of automatic- or robot welding activities, Delwi Groenink is in possession of three types of equipment. First, a relatively small welding machine for products up to 250 kg. Second, another machine suited for products of 6 by 3 meters and a weight of 5.000 kg per product.

This system for automatic welding is equipped with a tandem system that can switch between a single or double welding gun. Thanks to this, two wires can be simultaneously applied during the welding process. The first wire serves as a baseline and the second one as a filling. With this automatic welding technique, it is possible to reach a speed of welding up to 1,5 meters per minute.

Next, the robot department is equipped with a third machine. There is a setup of 2 welding robots in between of 3 welding stations, combined with a high production rate and a maximum power-on time. Furthermore, the automatic welding process of using 2 welding machines on a single product has a favourable effect on its heat input. The machine is also equipped with the so-called tandem system.
